World of Work Program What is TRE? Transitional Employment (TRE) Classroom Component The Transitional Employment programis a School-to-Work program that matches students’ interests and abilities to employment in their community. The primary goal of the programis successful, independent, long-termemployment for individuals upon graduation. Program Outcomes Successful completion of the program will provide the student with the ability to: Work Independently Remain Productive PerformQuality Work Take Initiative Seek HelpWhen Needed Follow Directions and Rules Work with Stamina and Speed Demonstrate Appropriate Social Behavior Maintain Punctuality and Good Attendance Demonstrate a Positive Attitude, Appropriate Appearance and Teamwork Skills Services Provided Job Development is a service designed to assist individuals in finding employment opportunities. Job coaching is a service designed to teach individuals the necessary skills to perform a specific job. Referral to Adult Services is a service provided to ensure a smooth transition fromhigh school to the adult working world. Credits for High School Graduation: 3 TRE credits Academic options see page 7 Job seeking skills training class is scheduled throughout the school year.
