9/11 Memorial Year End Update 2010 : Page 13WELCOMING VISITORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD On Display at the Preview Site Visitors to the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site can hear memorable 9/11 stories and view selected artifacts that will become part of the Museum’s archives through a new listening station and rotating exhibit. The story and jacket of Richard Pecorella are featured at the listening station. Pecorella, 57, of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, donated a Marlboro Team Penske auto racing jacket cherished by his fiancée Karen Juday, who died on 9/11. Juday, who was 52, was an administrative assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald on the 101st floor of the North Tower. This display draws upon the Museum’s archive of oral histories. Preview Site visitors also have the opportunity to record their own stories in any language in an adjacent sound-proof booth. To date, more than 4,000 people have recorded their 9/11 stories in approximately 20 different languages at the Preview Site. Top: The recording room where visitors share their 9/11 stories.
