9/11 Memorial Year End Update 2010 : Page 18FULFILLING OUR COMMITMENT TO EDUCATE Explore 9/11 through your iPhone The “Explore 9/11” iPhone application provides users the opportunity to understand 9/11 through the eyes of those who experienced the events first-hand. The application is free and provides a seven-stop walking tour around the World Trade Center, an augmented reality feature that overlays images taken around September 11, 2001 on the camera view, and an interactive timeline of the days events. The photos used in augmented reality were contributed to the Museum through the Make History website at 911history.org, which has collected almost 4,000 images, video and stories since its release in September 2009.
