9/11 Memorial Year End Update 2010 : Page 25GROWING SUPPORT An Entertaining Third Annual Benefit Dinner The 9/11 Memorial’s third annual benefit dinner, was hosted by Mayor Michael Bloomberg at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan. Jon Stewart of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show served as the event’s master of ceremonies. The dinner put a spotlight on the progress made toward the goal of opening the 9/11 Memorial on the 10th anniversary of the attacks. It also highlighted the stories of volunteerism and compassion that resulted from the events of 9/11. During the benefit, New York Jets Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert Wood Johnson IV, was presented with the “Distinction in Corporate Citizenship” award. Time Warner Inc. was honored for the “Distinction in Rebuilding” award. Mayor Bloomberg and Jon Stewart host the third annual benefit dinner. © Photo Ronald L.
